Jocelyn Maminta Doyens and Gary DoyensJocelyn Maminta Doyens is an anchor and reporter for WTNH News Channel 8 in New Haven, Connecticut. Her career at WTNH spans more than twelve years of a nearly twenty-three year span as a journalist. Jocelyn has also worked in the Highpoint/Greensboro, Buffalo, Milwaukee and Lubbock, Texas, markets.

As WTNH’s medical reporter, Jocelyn brings to life the miracles of medicine for News Channel 8 and brings health issues and medical breakthroughs to the forefront. She is also well known for a series titled Family Matters, which showcased issues and answers on all matters of the family, from birth to senior citizens.

When it comes to public service, Jocelyn is very active in the community. She is associated with groups such as the American Heart Association and the Angel Fund, is a member of the Junior League of New Haven, and is on the Children’s Health Council at Yale School of Medicine.

Gary Doyens is a sales executive with Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc. – WNPR and CPTV. Prior to joining CPBI, Gary served as a television consultant and business developer for a number of years, and was also a journalist in both print and television.

Jocelyn and her husband Gary have two children, son Jordan and daughter Campbell. Their other daughter, Caroline, is the namesake and inspiration for Caroline’s Room. She lost her battle to live in the New Born Special Care Unit at Yale New Haven Hospital after a series of complications arising from premature birth. Since that time, Jocelyn and Gary have committed themselves to making life in the NICU just a little bit easier for other families.
